Scope of Work:

This Request for Quotations (the “RFQ”) is an invitation by MacEwan University (the “University”) to prospective respondents to submit quotations for Lighting Consoles Replacement, as further described in Section A of the RFQ Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). The lighting consoles currently installed in CCC rooms 11-130J, 11-240, and 11-011 have reached the end of their operational lifecycle and are increasingly unreliable. These legacy units are exhibiting performance degradation that adversely affects operational efficiency and the quality of client service delivery. In several instances, manufacturer support has been discontinued, resulting in limited access to technical assistance and replacement components. To address these challenges, the procurement of modern lighting consoles is proposed. Upgrading to current-generation equipment will enhance system reliability, ensure compatibility with contemporary software platforms, and provide improved functionality. This replacement is critical to maintaining service standards, minimizing operational disruptions, and supporting the evolving technical requirements of CCC’s programming and client engagements.

St. Albert Transit Handibus service is a paratransit service that provides vital transportation to residents of St. Albert who are unable to utilize conventional transit due to physical or cognitive disabilities. The fleet consists of 7 paratransit vehicles - 6 are 24-foot ramp-style buses, and one slightly smaller at 21 feet. The size of the vehicles in the current fleet can service most pickup and drop off locations, however, certain properties are not accessible due to current fleet   vehicles not being able to approach the entrance, perform a three-point turn, and safely exit the premises. See Appendix D Pick-up/Drop off example The City is initiating a two-year pilot project to contract a transportation provider that can service these inaccessible properties using smaller, wheelchair-accessible minivans . The City will evaluate the service’s cost, reliability, quality standards, and demand, and will present the findings to City Council to determine the program’s future.

The proponent will be providing prebooked paratransit trips where St. Albert Transit Handibus services cannot be utilized due to physical restrictions at a location.  The trips provided will be only within the City of St. Albert boundaries.  See Appendix E The service shall not be utilized for intermunicipal trips between St. Albert and Edmonton.

Scope of Work:

Project Background

In 2006, a mulching operation was conducted to create a fuel free guard adjacent to the Folding Mountain community. Subsequent routine inspections have identified that the fireguard requires maintenance to ensure its continued effectiveness in protecting the community from the risk of wildfire. The town of Hinton and its neighboring communities were identified to be at a high risk of being impacted by wildfire in the 2019 Edson Wildfire Management Plan. This project aims to enhance the communities in the Hwy 16 west corridors resilience in the face of growing wildfire threats, reinforcing fire protection measures to safeguard the area.

Project Objectives

  • Upon removal of the fuel, the area will function as a sprinkler line, containment line, or access route for firefighting crews and equipment. The well-defined boundaries of this project will also facilitate more efficient and manageable maintenance, including prescribed burns moving forward.
  • The Edson Forest area has designated 17 hectares for treatment through the mulching of woody debris. The project will require the use of appropriate heavy equipment to effectively remove all fuel within the defined boundaries. Species that are to be mulched include grasses, willow, and alder and spruce (see photos attached). Due to soil conditions, the reclamation work must be done when the ground conditions are in a frozen state.

Site Meeting Notes: Meet at Highway 16 Rest Area (Folding Mountain West Rest Area 53.239, -117.794) Attendance at the session is not mandatory but is highly recommended.

Scope of Work:

Project Background

In 2015, a mulching operation was conducted to create a fuel free guard adjacent to the Jasper National Park boarder. Subsequent routine inspections have identified that the fireguard requires maintenance to ensure its continued effectiveness in protecting the community from the risk of wildfire. The town of Hinton was identified to be at a high risk of being impacted by wildfire in the 2019 Edson Wildfire Management Plan.

  • The Edson Forest area has designated 20 hectares for treatment through the mulching of woody debris. The project will require the use of appropriate heavy equipment to effectively remove all fuel within the defined boundaries.
