Scope of Work:

This Work includes the supply of all labour, materials, equipment and services required to complete the construction of the Poundmaker Snow Storage Site Upgrades. The Work includes, but is not limited to the following: Mobilization and demobilization Work Site management including temporary construction facilities, security, and protection of existing Utilities Removal of existing manholes, existing fence and gate, existing light poles, existing pond liner, existing asphalt and concrete. Site earthwork and subgrade preparation. Construct the new settling pond, including excavating material, grading the slopes, lining the pond side slopes with HDPE liner, and hard surfacing the pond bottom. Construction of the pond inlet and outlet structures, including gates and walking platform on piles. Construction of underground stormwater pipes and manholes via open cut and vertical trench methods and tie into existing infrastructure under 107 Avenue. Hard surfacing the Snow Storage Pad, Equipment Area, Access Road and Drainage Swales (various structures and surface types, see drawings for details). Install new fences, gates, and lights around the site. Scope of Work:

Alberta Forestry and Parks, Warehousing, Facilities and Technical Services utilizes contracted services to assist Wildfire Management’s ability to maintain mechanical equipment for use on wildfires within Alberta.

Mechanical firefighting equipment plays a critical role in wildfire suppression. Equipment must be repaired and returned to an in-service state as quickly as possible to ensure sufficient resources remain available to be deployed to ongoing and future wildfire emergencies. The department requires a Contractor for chainsaw repair services to assist Ministry resources to achieve our service mandate.

The Contractor will provide the facility, tools, parts and appropriately trained staff to conduct thorough and complete repairs on Forestry and Parks owned chainsaws on an “as-needed” basis, with no guarantee of work.

It is estimated that the Province will require repair on 450 - 550 chainsaws per year. 

Proponents must provide a Flat Rate Repair Price for the Services. This flat rate must represent the total cost per chainsaw for completing the repair, including pick-up and delivery from and to the Forestry and Parks Provincial Warehouse and Service Centre.

Proponents must also provide an Hourly Diagnostic Fee that applies where diagnostic-only service is required because units requiring parts exceeding 50% of MSRP will not be repaired under the Flat Rate Repair Price. Contractor will return the unit and invoice Hourly Diagnostic Fee only. Contractor must notify Alberta Forestry and Parks when estimated parts cost exceeds 50% MSRP. In such cases, a maximum of 1x (one hour) Hourly Diagnostic Fee will be charged.

Proponents should provide a response to the desirable provisions set out in Attachment #4 to Appendix C-Service Delivery Approach to this RFP.

Orders will be placed in multiples of thirty (30) chainsaws with a minimum order of thirty (30) chainsaws. 

The chainsaws will be placed on pallets in quantities of thirty (30)/pallet by the Province. The pallets include chainsaw stands which will remain the property of the Province.

Hidden Valley Ski Resort (HVSR) is located in Cypress Hills Provincial Park and has been in operation since 1967. The base area facilities are located on Highway 41, approximately 1.5 km Southeast of the Elkwater Townsite, and 65 km South of the City of Medicine Hat.

HVSR currently operates one fixed grip quadruple chairlift (subject to replacement), one T-bar surface lift, on handle tow surface lift and one moving carpet conveyor belt surface lift. These lifts have a total hourly capacity of 2,890 skiers per hour and service twelve trails on 170 meters of skiable vertical drop. HVSR currently operates a snowmaking system which provides 95% coverage of the skiable terrain.

Due to aging infrastructure, a functional assessment of the base area facilities – excluding the snow-making system - will inform a new Facility Master Plan that will set a development vision for HVSR over the next several decades. This infrastructure assessment will provide key information for decision-making that will support the overall project plan. The snow-making system will be assessed separately from this project.

The purpose of this RFP is to invite Proposals from suitably qualified Proponents who demonstrate sufficient experience and qualification to provide a comprehensive infrastructure assessment of sites as identified and supported by the Project Plan.

The scope of this project include minor interior renovation to the administration area within the king's bench staff work spaces to accommodate new furniture, with structural, electrical, and mechanical modifications necessary to complete the work.

The objective of this project is the phased approach for the supply and installation of new workstations complying to the latest building code requirements by AHJ. Building of a new electrical and data closet, running new power and data feed into the workstations via new and existing cored floor access throughout. Demolish existing carpet tile and wood base in project scope area, prepare subfloor to receive new carpet tile and new rubber base. This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by Strathcona County (the “County”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Festival Place Building Envelope Assessment and Design, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix A) (the “Deliverables”). The County is seeking a supplier who can assess Festival Place’s building envelope to identify causes of water infiltration, using inspections, testing, and advanced diagnostic tools, and deliver a comprehensive report with photos, sketches, prioritized repair strategies, cost estimates, and timelines. Additionally, if approved to proceed to Phase 2, the supplier will prepare detailed design specifications that include drawings, and technical documents, ensuring compliance with codes, warranties, and long-term performance standards. The Supplier will then assist with procurement and provide contract administration, including site inspections, quality control testing, change management, and delivery of as-built record drawings. Festival Place is located at 100 Festival Place, Sherwood Park, AB T8A 5T2.

Scope of Work:

Work of this Contract comprises the following: 

  • Provide labour, material, equipment, and supervision required to install temporary facilities and constructions, including access systems, hoarding, environmental protections, temporary barriers, temporary utilities, construction signage, asbestos abatement, and related work. 
  • Move furniture away from windows to create an adequate workspace and provide interior environmental barriers and signage to separate the work area from the occupied office spaces. 
  • Remove and replace windows with new triple glazed, aluminum frame windows including but not limited to selective demolition, window rough opening blocking, membrane tie-ins, metal flashings, and sealants. 
  • Supply and install wall infills where indicated on the Drawings, including but not limited to selective demolition, new steel framing complete with engineered shop drawings, wood sheathing and blocking, thermal insulation, membranes, vapour retarder, metal flashings, and sealants. Reinstate brick cladding to its original condition where damaged or removed to complete the Work. 
  • Supply and install new interior finishes where indicated on the Drawings and where necessary including but not limited to new interior gypsum board and paint finishes.

  1. The Successful Proponent shall enter a five (5) year agreement with EPCOR, pursuant to which the Proponent shall supply EPCOR with bushings of identical or substantially similar specifications for the full duration of the contract.
