Scope of Work: The Town of Morinville is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for its Industrial Park Sewer Upgrades - West Winds Forcemain Extension. The Town of Morinville forecasts additional land development to occur west of the industrial park. The sanitary sewer from this area is planned to outlet into the sanitary sewer in the industrial park, which will increase the sanitary flows. A study conducted of the existing sanitary sewer determined that sections of the existing sanitary sewer require additional capacity to accommodate the future development. The project scope is to make more available capacity in the existing sanitary sewer within the Morinville Industrial Park for future developments by extending the West Winds Neighbourhood sanitary lift station forcemain from its current discharge manhole on 100 Street Service Road and approximately 89 Avenue to a new discharge manhole on 98 Street and 87 Avenue. The project will extend the 300 mm diameter HDPE forcemain approximately 645 m. The new discharge manhole will drain by gravity sewer pipe into an existing sewer manhole, where a drop structure will be constructed to lower the sewage turbulence as it drops into the existing system. |

Scope of Work: RVC is seeking Submissions from Contractors interested in becoming pre-qualified to bid on the bridge-sized culvert replacements at Bridge Files (BF) 1716 and 1799, which will be constructed in 2026. BF 1716 carries Range Road (RR) 15, also known as Panorama Road, over a Tributary to Nose Creek, near Airdrie. The roadway is a rural roadway though has increased traffic due to the proximity to Calgary and Airdrie alongside the number of adjacent acreages. The anticipated replacement structure will be a 2.4 m diameter CSP culvert installed along a similar alignment to the existing culvert. Specifics beyond this have not been determined at this time and no drawings are available yet. The construction completion date will be October 31, 2026. BF 1799, carries Township Road (TR) 233, also known as Dead Horse Road, over a Tributary to Serviceberry Creek, near Langdon. The roadway serves as a primary east-west corridor connecting the rural township system to the south end of Langdon. Boulder Creek Estates, a new development constructed in the late 2000s along the roadway has increased traffic along the roadway to the west of the crossing though traffic still remains relatively low along the crossing. The replacement structure is expected to be a 1.5 x 2.4 m precast concrete box culvert installed on an increased skew relative to the existing structure but designs are to be confirmed. The construction completion date will be October 31, 2026. It is noted that all projects are anticipated to be tendered out separately from each other. LEX3 Engineering Inc. has been engaged to complete the design of the new crossings, which are now underway. However, specifics of the new structures have not yet been developed and no drawings are available at this time. Contractors are advised that anticipated culvert structure details may change between the time of prequalification and tendering. |
