Scope of Work: PROJECT BACKGROUND: Strathcona Science Provincial Park has two existing underground water lines that require capping. One of these lines has developed a leak, which requires isolation, and the second line requires isolation to fully decommission the unused waterline. Strathcona County operates a 6-inch water supply line that services both lines, as well as the Sunridge Ski Area. This main supply line is currently shut off. The exact size and condition of the two water lines are unknown. PROJECT OBJECTIVE: The objective of this project is to locate, expose, and permanently cap the two underground water service lines coming off the water main close to the water main. |

Scope of Work: This Request for Supplier Qualifications (“RFSQ”) is an invitation by Parkland County (the “County”) to prospective respondents to qualify for eligibility to provide Trenchless Rehabilitation Services for Underground Mains and Manholes, as further described in Section A of the RFSQ Particulars (Appendix A) (the “Deliverables”).
Parkland County is a rural municipality located immediately west of Edmonton. Covering an area of 256,802 hectares (634,571 acres), it is one of the largest in size and one of the highest populated of all rural municipalities in Alberta. Parkland County has grown to a community of over 30,000 people and has seen generations of families continue to enjoy country living.
The County is currently seeking submissions from qualified vendors to enter a prequalified roster for the provision of various trenchless rehabilitation methodologies. All prequalified contractors must be able to act as prime contractor, and must be the primary provider of the prequalified trenchless rehabilitation techniques.
Though much of the work forecasted in the next 3 years will be CIPP Lining and Manhole Rehabilitation, it is anticipated there will be several opportunities to explore other trenchless rehabilitation techniques as the project design teams or operations requires. Respondents may submit for one or more of the following five categories:
1) Mainline Lining – Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) 2) Mainline Lining - Alternative Methods 3) Manhole Rehabilitation - Geopolymer/polymeric coatings 4) Manhole Rehabilitation – Alternative Methods 5) Spot Repairs & Lateral Lining
The County intends to pre-qualify Contractors to be included on a Master Roster List for each prequalification category for a period of three years with no options to extend. Respondents shall note that the County does not intend to re-issue an RFSQ for the services listed in this document for a three-year period. |

Scope of Work: Cross Lake Provincial Park is located in north-central Alberta, approximately 34 km west of the Town of Athabasca, and 125 km north of Edmonton. Nestled beside Steel Lake and surrounded by the beauty of the boreal forest, the park provides opportunity for outdoor recreation and nature based experiences. Summer activities include hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, water-skiing, power boating, and birdwatching. The park's wastewater is currently managed through six independent systems, which service the shower building, dump station, concession building, maintenance building, and two staff houses. Two of the systems involve on-site treatment and discharge, and four consist of holding tanks that are regularly pumped out. Although all of the systems are functioning, each has a different capacity, age, and maintenance requirements. This fragmented set-up creates operational challenges and long-term servicing issues. In addition, the holding tanks incur operational costs to pump them out on a regular schedule. The primary goal of this project is to establish a long-term wastewater management strategy for the park that is reliable, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible. This strategy will reduce operating costs, minimize risks, and ensure infrastructure is fit for its intended purpose. The project will also demonstrate Parks Division's commitment to environmental protection and ensure a safe, high-quality experience for park visitors. The purpose of this RFP is to invite proposals from suitably qualified Proponents who demonstrate sufficient experience and qualification to assess existing conditions and develop recommendations that will support the park’s long-term wastewater servicing needs. |

Scope of Work: Description of Work/Specifications: Install Fob Entry System Contractor to remove all existing lock hardware from all doors. Install a compatible fob system that is currently being used by Leduc Regional Housing Foundation on all entry/exit, suite, mechanical, laundry and storage room doors. Contractor is responsible for running all required wiring Contractor is responsible for repairing all damage to walls, ceilings and flooring that may take place during installation. All locks and fobs to be programmed to operate seamlessly upon completion. Any access buttons will be left operational with new fob system. All fobs to be programmed to run with existing system used by Leduc Regional Housing Foundation. All hardware that is removed from existing doors is to be numbered and left on site, these will be disposed of by Leduc Regional Housing Foundation. Work to be completed during the hours of 8:00am till 4:00pm, Monday to Friday Work site to left clean and tidy of any debris at the end of each workday No doors are to be left unsecured overnight at the end of the day. Each building is to be quoted separately and a final dollar figure for entire job. System is to have capacity for future development and expansion. |

Scope of Work: The next phase of Halkirk’s utility renewal project focuses on upgrading the existing water and replacing sanitary systems along Main Street, between Railway Avenue and Alberta Avenue and continuing off to replace sanitary line from Range Rd 160 to Lagoon Area. The work will require an excavation to upgrade existing water systems and replace existing sanitary systems, restoration of work area and road surface works. Some materials within the project area will require special precautions for removal and disposals, due to the nature of existing materials and contamination. |
