Site Meeting Notes: Beaverdam Lodge 2012 - 66th Avenue SE Calgary Alberta |

Scope of Work: Beaverdam Commons is an occupied Silvera for Seniors supportive living residence providing care to seniors with mild to advanced dementia. The existing resilient flooring throughout the common area corridors and suites was installed within the last 5-7 years; adhesive failure has caused planks to lift in multiple locations, creating an active trip-and-fall hazard for residents. The Work consists of completely removing and replacing this flooring in all common area corridors and 54 individual resident suites, including full subfloor preparation, moisture management, and installation of a new resilient sheet flooring system throughout. As the existing flooring is recent, it is not expected to contain asbestos or other legacy hazardous materials; the hazardous materials protocol at Section 4.1 is retained as a standard precaution only, not because contamination is anticipated. Because the building remains fully occupied by a vulnerable resident population throughout construction, this Scope of Work includes site, safety, and sequencing requirements specific to dementia care environments in addition to standard flooring specifications. Bidders must price and schedule the Work to fully account for these requirements; no additional compensation will be considered for delays or inefficiencies arising from an occupied dementia-care work environment as disclosed in this Schedule B |

Scope of Work: Conducts ambient surface water quality monitoring throughout the Athabasca River and its tributaries within the oil sands region. This adaptive monitoring program supports the OSMP mandate by addressing key monitoring questions and evaluating potential effects of oil sands development on aquatic ecosystems. Monitoring is focused on priority watersheds where open-pit mining and in situ oil sands operations, including Steam-Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD), are active. The program measures a suite of physical, chemical, and biological indicators to detect changes in water quality and assess potential cumulative effects across the watershed. By examining water quality indicators alongside environmental variables associated with natural processes and human activities, the program evaluates whether observed changes are occurring, identifies potential drivers of those changes, and assesses the extent to which they may be associated with oil sands development. The geographic scope of this program covers the Athabasca Oil Sands region. Water quality monitoring includes parameters associated with bitumen-derived compounds (e.g., polycyclic aromatic compounds, vanadium, selenium, etc.); parameters that influence the transport, fate, and cycling of substances of interest (e.g., carbon). Indicators associated with landscape disturbance or altered watershed hydrology and hydrogeology including nutrients, dissolved and suspended solids, and major ions. |

Scope of Work: PROJECT BACKGROUND Wolf Lake West Overflow Campground within Wolf Lake West Provincial Recreation Area (PRA) was substantially damaged in a 2023 wildfire, resulting in 80-90% asset losses and the closure of the area until repairs can be completed. Following an inspection in the fall of 2023, only emergency and critical public safety issues were addressed such as installing security gates, covering open pit toilet tanks, and removing some of the fire-damaged site infrastructure. Due to the substantial loss of infrastructure resulting from the 2023 wildfire, Wolf Lake West PRA Overflow Campground requires restoration/redevelopment. The intent of the project is to restore the area, generally consistent with pre-fire function and capacity, while incorporating any necessary improvements to meet current operational requirements, applicable standards, and long-term asset management objectives. The purpose of this RFP is to invite Proposals from suitably qualified Proponents who demonstrate sufficient experience and qualification to provide detailed design, secure approvals, prepare tender documents and perform project management and construction monitoring services for the reclamation of Wolf Lake West PRA Overflow as identified within the scope of this RFP. PROJECT DESCRIPTION Working towards the outcomes and objectives identified within the Project Plan, the successful Proponent is to apply proven parks-based (non-urban) technical design practices in conjunction with appropriate tools and skilled resources through the Assessment, Conceptual Design, Detailed Design, Approval Process, Issued for Tender and Issued for Construction and Project Close Out phases for the site to achieve the end result desired by the Province. The work to be accomplished under this project includes:
